Birth anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS) observed in Pakistan cities

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The 1429th birthday of Imam Husain,(AS) the grandson of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was observed in twin cities of Rawalpindi, Islamabad and adjoining areas with religious fervor and spirit .Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) was born on third day of Shaban (eighth month of Islamic calendar) in fourth Hijri at the holy city of Medina in Saudi Arabia.His father was Hazrat Ali (AS). His mother Fatima Zahra (AS) was the only daughter of Prophet Mohammad (SAWW).Many dargahs and Imambaras were decorated on the occasion. Series of majalis, seminars were organised on the occasion.“Hazrat Imam Hussein (AS) sacrificed his life for truth and justice.He had the choice to enter truce with Yazid (LA), but he preferred martyrdom to any compromise which could have proved inimical to Islam. His birth anniversary reminds us of his supreme sacrifice and so it is celebrated with joy and happiness,” said the scholars.The religious scholars said the martyrs of Karbala developed the seeds of Islam through their blood. That is why the international colonial powers could not root out religion and ‘Shariat’ from the hearts of Islamic World, oppressed, and have-nots despite utilising all their energy in doing so.As a result of which Islam is spreading all around and people are becoming known to Islam and colonial powers were carrying out one attack after the other on the Islamic World in general and on the citadel of Islam i.e.Pakistan to check the spread of Islam but they should keep in mind that Pakistan was created on the basis of Islam./129
